P.E.T.A. Collared in North Carolina

The concept of "Honesty" comes to the members of PETA, finally. As opposed to the denial and the lies that this group usually espouses.
From the News & Observer online newspaper, and Winton, North Carolina:

PETA Foes Salivate at Cruelty Trial
Animal-rights group employees charged in killing, dumping dogs & cats
"It is an unlikely locale for an unlikely criminal case. Today, two employees of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, a radical animal-rights group that opposes meat-eating, are on trial for the strangest of charges: killing animals.
Two of its employees stand accused of tossing garbage bags full of euthanized cats and dogs into a dumpster behind a Piggly Wiggly supermarket in Hertford County, 130 miles northeast of Raleigh.
Adria J. Hinkle and Andrew B. Cook, both of whom work in PETA's Norfolk office, are charged with 21 counts each of animal cruelty, a felony that can carry prison time, along with littering and obtaining property by false pretenses." ((The very informative article continues))

Here's My Take: Last April, several PETA supporters demonstrated on main street, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Included in this demonstration of how animals are "abused", was the open showing of a naked gal in a coffin, to act as an example of the 'death of innocent animals'. Right there in front of the First National Bank, at the corner of 6th St. and Garrison Ave, at noon!! All the TV stations had their cameras there; traffic was bumper to bumper, passing the nekkid girl lying in a black coffin, pretending she's a deer, or a turkey, maybe a chicken. With a mere handfull of other PETA supporters surrounding her, they chanted "Animal Rights--Animal Rights!"
The Localmalcontent had to be in Fort Smith that morning, and had heard of the upcoming demonstration on Talk Radio, naturally. Standing across the street, with the best view of the nekkid girl in the casket, I stood with other men, chicken house owners, many of which held signs saying "P.E.T.A.= People Eating Tasty Animals". By far, in Arkansas, there are 100s more people who eat the tasty chicken, delicious deer, even some who eat possum--for every one PETA member. I'm very fond of fried squirrel, myself.
But, to continue with the story out of Winton, North Carolina: "Adria J. Hinkle and Andrew B. Cook, both of whom work in PETA's Norfolk, Va.'s Corporate office, are charged with 21 counts each of animal cruelty, a felony that can carry prison time, along with littering and obtaining property by false pretenses. A PETA spokeswoman, Kathy Guillermo, said PETA never wanted to get into the business of euthanizing animals. But she said the group couldn't ignore the horrible conditions in animal shelters around Norfolk and in northeastern North Carolina. The group now euthanizes thousands of animals a year.
"Euthanasia is a better alternative to sitting in a stinking pound," Guillermo said.
This, the Localmalcontent finds disgusting, both for the action of euthanasia, but especially the hypocrasy of PETA. Who is to say that that cute kitty or loving puppy wouldn't have been adopted the day after PETA sent them to death?
They have taken on the characteristics of G-D Almighty, in deciding which live, and which die. Arbitrary, and far more cruel than killing them for food.

**Not cats or dogs for food, silly. You, hopefully wise reader, know what I mean...
Eco-terrorists, they are: Non-conformist Liberals Without a Clue, who have all the starry eyed good intentions. AND WE ALL KNOW HOW THE ROAD TO HELL IS PAVED, with 'good intentions', but it's also well lighted by their starry eyes.
I'm having a 1-1/2 inch thick sirloin for dinner tonight, medium rare, with a baked potato, onions and biscuits with real butter; how about you?

The 1-1/2 inch thick sirloin, medium rare, with a baked potato, onions and biscuits with real butter sounds real good, but I am going to have for, for starters, a delicious Kibbe (Lebanese style meatloaf, made with fresh ground lamb mixed with Brugal Wheat, onions garlic and assorted spices). Later when one of my sons and his wife come over, my daughter-in-law wants to make some "Thit Bao Nung Sau" which is Vietnamese Beef on a stick, made with thin strips of Beef that has been marinated in soy sauce with lemon grass, then placed on bamboo scewers and grilled on a stove top grill. This is served with a delicious Vietnamese style fried rice. Boy am I getting hungry.

By the way, thank you for the song , "A Song of Lilies", I love it.
