Punxsutawney Phil Sees Early Spring,
Not Oncoming Traffic

At sunrise today, in quaint Gobbler's Knob, Pennsylvania, Punxsutawney Phil, the climatological groundhog, predicted that Spring will be here on time, as he didn't see his shadow.

Sadly, for the residents of Gobbler's Knob, Phil didn't see the Pennsylvania Highway Department's Road Paint crew either, as he ran into the middle of the road in gleeful celebration.

Services are scheduled for Monday, Feb. 5, 2007
Happy February, everyone!

((Obviously, a repost from ... umm, 6 years ago.  One of my favorites.))

OK, after the last six weeks, I think I'm glad he got run over!!!! He obviously was wrong on his prediction of an early spring....the little bugger. This little lizard is absolutely tired of being cold!!!!! Grin. Ready for spring to really arrive.....I think. At least for the warmer weather. Stay safe. shalom, spitfire
