Oklahoma unemployment figgers

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Unemployment rates fell in all of Oklahoma’s 77 counties in August, but three southeastern counties remained well above the state jobless rate, state officials said Tuesday.

McCurtain County, in far southeastern Oklahoma, had the highest unemployment rate, 960 out of a labor force of 13,010, or 7.4 percent, the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission reported. That represented a decline from 8.7 percent in July, but was higher than the 4.2 percent statewide unemployment rate.

Coal County was second with a 6.6 percent jobless rate, down from 8.6 percent in July, but higher than the 5.4 percent rate in August 2006, the OESC reported.
Hughes County came in third with a jobless rate of 6.5 percent, down from 8.4 percent in July, but slightly higher than August 2006, when the jobless rate was 6.3 percent.

The U.S. jobless rate in August was 4.6%. Oklahoma's Overall(s) unemployment rate was 4.2 percent.

Always leading the way in keeping cultural "racism" uppermost in the minds of university liberals statewide... is the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. All three counties having the highest rates of unemployment are within the 10-1/2 county Choctaw Nation.

Also of note I believe, is the fact that this area is dominated by Democrat leadership in state and national politics, and with few exceptions, has been for 75 years or more. Ya jist cain't beet them good, hepful Demmicrats an' their pergressive ways.
Brother, can you spare a dime?

Thank goodness for the great local fishing and hunting down here- decent roadkill, too.
