"What's Going On"

"What's going on around here?" you may be asking yourself.

I decided to align my little Local Malcontent blog with a world-wide group of bloggers, in protest of the conditions young Iranian university students are treated, under the suffocating Islamic Regime governing Iran these days.

I've been told that some 7,000 bloggers world wide are involved through the 30th of January, around the world.

The Thing Is: The biggest majority of the citizens in Iran despise their Fundamental Islamic ruling class, from "Supreme" Ayatollah Khameini on down, including Mahmoud Ahmadinejad... They yearn for freedom, like that which is seen in the West, and the young students at universities within Iran who speak out, who speak of freedom of thought, are systematically imprisoned, for daring to be openly vocal. As a warning to others, too.

We Americans do not know what it's like to be harassed by our government, for speaking our minds; protests in the form of 'redress', is our God given, and Constitutionally guaranteed right.
But sadly, this same recognition of Holy-bestowed freedom is not ensured in all places; some governments do not recognize the same beneficent God.

That's 'what's going on' around (T)here.
