The (Rest of the) story:
I had unexpected company come over last night, & stay the night with me. Their 14-yr. old son was watching videos on the internet, and wanted to know how I put things like this on The Local Malcontent blog.

So I showed him.

What???

Really, it never was exactly quite the way writer Bruce Springsteen intended ("Greetings from Asbury Park (1973)").

That song was a 1973 Springsteen hit?!! never knew that; thanks, Bro.John.

Yepper! But it wasn't actually a hit for Springsteen. In fact, it was a fairly dismal failure. That's why he later allowed Manfred Mann to have a shot at it and for them, bingo!

You can read about it here.
