Happy Birthday, President Elk

February 6th is a holiday to me.

The Gipper would be 98 today.
And for at least this day, I remember his happy, sunny words that it is "Morning in America, again."

Not "mourning"....

God, How I miss the Gipper. We sure can use a man like him right now. Obama is leading this nation into the long dark night.

My birthday is the 5th and my Mom shares RR's birthday. I always think of him on that day. Many other days as well. Sure could use him again. What a mess Obama is making ALREADY!

No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth!

I had a few issues with Mr. Reagan, but I always felt safe knowing he was in charge. I voted for him; it was no contest.

I remember the Carter years and I'm afraid the next four will be even worse.
