In The Stationery Department?

Local Author Commits Suicide At the Wal-Mart"
From Fayetteville's KHOG-TV:

McElyea did have a history of problems with the law.
In his book he talks about being involved in alleged marijuana-growing operations, [...] and current Madison County Sheriff Philip Morgan said McElyea found himself in the county jail several times.
Before police could arrive, they said he used a knife to slit his throat and then continued stabbing himself.

Must be a danged, bad jail~

Maybe he fried too many of his brain cells indulging in the product he was growing. Or could it be that he was angry because everything in Wal-Mart was made in China? We will never know will we?

Could be any of those, Father-
or it could be a really bad jail.
I've 'visited' the Ft. Smith, Ark. jail, and wouldn't wish to return.

The drama of exsanguinating oneself, in WalMart, that is legendary.

I went to school (trade school) a few years back and a guy I knew had just graduated and was going down state to interview, got arrested and that night "killed himself". It was very suspicious and when his brother went to the small town to investigate, was arrested himself and severely beaten.

Anyway....I'm with you, Ron. Offing oneself in WM is too weird for words.
