Happiness Is....

"Being old, male and Republican," according to a Pew Research Center survey, as reported by

I'm guessing that those parameters describing increasing 'Happiness' include at least one weekly visit to God's House, and daily communication with our Creator; having a family tree whose branches have not been pruned by abortion; having two or fewer spouses during a lifetime, instead of a string of short-lived romances; and possibly a greater reliance on reading a good book rather than absorbing Television on a nightly basis,

though the researchers didn't specify these.

If you're thinking that Republicans are happy just because they perhaps make more money, that does not seem to be the case. The study that found Republicans to be happier than Democrats also showed that it held true even after adjusting for income.

Conversly, I think that Democrats are less happy because they focus their attentions on the small stuff; becoming, over time, unable to reach any level of happiness since everywhere they look there's another injustice to put right.
Also, when Democrats see another group which appears happy, like old Republican men, they feel an inate need to bring them down a notch or two, tapping that happiness in an erstwhile effort to spread the happiness around.
Remember, it's SCIENCE~!

Happiness is also waking up to greet a new day. And wondering which one of your relatives will embarrass you today.

That last one is just a joke, my relatives know

Waking up in a new world each day is a signet of Democrats' days, I think.
