In Lieu of Actual Sunshine

These are good chips.

Another week of daily, bountiful rains ahead. It's pouring down again this morning, looks like it will all day;

I am reluctant to complain about the rains- 14 out of the past 15 days and counting.

UPDATE:

Tomorrow's Forecast (via WeatherUnderground's Talihina, Ok. page ) :

Tuesday
Occasional showers and thunderstorms in the morning... then mostly cloudy with chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 70s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 90 percent.

Down from 120%, on the preceeding several days.
It didn't rain last Wednesday~!

Rained like a big dog here earlier. Most of it's moved on into OK and more headin' your way, looks like.

I had the fan going for the last couple of days and was eyeballin' the air conditioner, thinking it was time to put it up. Last night I went searching for my little electric heater and got my quilt out of the dirty laundry.

Never tried those; don't eat chips much these days. I miss 'em, but I sure have to be careful about what I eat, and if I'm going to splurge, it's going to be on a candy bar or ice cream.

I miss Pringles and Frito-Lay nacho dip, though. -sigh-

Several years ago I was a tester for both new and older products (mostly food, but also stuff like paper plates, etc.) and for about six months I participated in a on going salted snacks survey. Every couple of weeks they would send me three different types and I'd have to rate them.

My neighbors loved them too, because I got so tired of the samples I'd give them the rest of the pkg after I'd open it and tried a couple of chips, pretzels, etc.

With all that rain heading your way, I sure hope you have enough wood planks set aside for the ark.

Right now we are 50 degrees here, and they are calling for frost tonight. I guess I put the winter woollies away too soon.

Weird, we have had about 5 days of rain here but it is very needed in the Chaco for the cattle to make it through our winter.

The odd thing about today's band of thunderstorms/showers, is that at about 6:15 am, I took a look at the radar- it showed a narrow band of only rain between Ok.City westward to maybe Elk City, Ok.

An hour later, this huge blob of greens and yellows and oranges covered western Oklahoma entirely, all headed thisaway.

The sun has finally made an appearance here. I planted all day Sunday. I don't think I'll need to water for another few weeks, more rain on the way.
Those chips rock, by the way.
