NOT a Great Month For Women
Named Angela D. Brewer

Here is a strange:  Two women with identical names, and both age 43, have been arrested for allegedly murdering a family member.

PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. — A woman is accused of giving her grandson a lethal dose of oxycodone in a sippy cup.

Deputies with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home on the evening of Oct. 17 about a child that was not breathing.

When deputies arrived, they found a family member performing CPR on an unresponsive 14-month-old boy, WYFF reports. The boy was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Forensic testing revealed that the toddler had a lethal dose of oxycodone in his system. Investigators determined oxycodone was found in a sippy cup provided to the child by his grandmother.
Angela Denise Brewer, 43, was arrested on Thursday afternoon and charged with homicide by child abuse.

Then again, in Tennessee:

(WMC-TV) - Angela Denise Brewer originally told deputies she shot and killed her husband after she thought she heard an intruder outside. Monday her story completely changed.

In a warrant filed late Monday afternoon, the 43-year-old woman admitted to loading a shotgun then shooting and killing her husband, 37-year-old William "Stan" Brewer.

The shooting happened early Sunday morning inside their Brighton home.
"We're continuing to work with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in the weekend shooting on Highway 14," said Tipton County Sheriff's Office Chief Donna Turner.

Brewer was originally charged with reckless homicide and aggravated assault resulting in death. But after being questioned, those charges have now been upgraded to second degree murder.
In the warrant, Brewer admitted to pointing the gun at her husband's head at close range while he slept.  The warrant also says Brewer then admitted to discharging the weapon.

Wow. There was a Brewer family w/ kids who lived right across the street from my grandparents when I was a kid and one of the girls was named Angela. I haven't seen nor heard about them in decades but either one of those women look to be old enough to be her.
