"Jimmy Carter’s Regret"

From the Atlanta Journal Constitution

During his press conference to discuss his cancer on Thursday, former President Jimmy Carter was asked if he had any regrets in his 90-plus years. He named only one:

Said Carter:  “I wish I’d sent one more helicopter to get the hostages. We would have rescued them and I would have been re-elected. But that may have interfered with the foundation of the Carter Center.

“If I had to choose between four more years and the Carter Center, I think I would chose the Carter Center.”
The former president paused for half a beat, and then added:
“Could have been both.”

This man, dealing with the greatest challenge of his long life, metastasized liver cancer, still has not understood what
it simply takes to achieve mortal greatness.
Humility before God Almighty.

Instead, his regret is that he didn't get a second term, did not get to continue the American malaise, the worst four years in American economic history in the last 100 years.

No, he did not regret condemning the state of Israel; he didn't regret forbidding the Shah of Iran to receive his own cancer treatment in the United States, and thus prevent a crazy old Islamic Imam,
the Ayatollah Khomeini to return to Iran to become it's tyrannical leader.

He used his piety, his being a Baptist Sunday school teacher, to better himself, never giving the glory to God, the glory to Jesus Christ, the God of these United States.
And as a result of Carter's arrogance, the United States faltered; Iran grew in strength, and today, we have in this world the flames of Islamic Jihad we see everywhere.

In Numbers, ch. 24, verse 9, the Spirit of God says to the House of Judah (Israel) "... Blessed are those who bless you, and cursed are those who curse you.”

Jimmy Carter's regrets?!!?  Who Cares??

Since 1979, the U.S. of A. has been paying with blood and treasure for his mistakes.

May God have mercy on his soul, for the choices which he made, not his regrets.
