Rally-- And UPDATE~

Later on today, my wife and I will be at Tulsa's Mabee Center on the campus of Oral Roberts University, to hear and to meet Presidential candidate Ted Cruz, the Senator from the great state of Texas.

The rally will be from 9 am until noon; if I can manage it, I will post photos later of this event (because as you know, neither of us have cell phones with Internet capability).

I pray to God that this man will please be elected our next President~ after 8 years of mismanagement by the Democratic party.  Mr. Cruz promises to end "Obamacare" on day one, rescind many of the controversial leader's other bad-judgement executive orders, and restore America's standing as the leader around the globe.

Lastly, he will stop illegal immigration, that slow poisonous flow of illegals into our Judeo-Christian nation.

We were among maybe 3,000-3,300 fellow Conservatives in the Mabee Center today, to hear Senator Cruz speak- and it was only his (mostly) canned campaign-promises speech, but Mr. Cruz sprinkled in just enough humor along the way, to remind me of another unpopular Conservative candidate/President:  Ronald Reagan.

Example:  Cruz said that the next Democratic debate would be held in Leavenworth, Kansas, to accommodate Hillary Clinton....  That had us both roaring with laughter.

We were glad to bow our heads for an opening prayer by Oklahoma Wesleyan University President Dr. Everett Piper, to even sing "Proud to be an American", with the Tulsa Praise Jazz band, which pumped up the huge crowd beforehand with plenty of patriotic songs.

Then Congressman Jim Bridenstine opened up the crowd with an unusual story about an orphan baby in 1953 Korea, which was taken care of by sailors on a Carrier ship, until he was adopted by another Navy man-- thrilling, heartwarming story this-- one that I will research and post later on, here...
There were countless standing ovations for Cruz' bold and conservative promises: That on day one of his Presidency, the US embassy in Israel would be moved to Jerusalem, that nation's capitol; that every letter of Obamacare would be repealed; that the 2nd Amendment would be honored; that Planned Parenthood would be investigated; that every one of Zerobama's unilateral, unconstitutional Executive Orders would be rescinded; that the faux Iran nuclear deal would itself be nuked.
And that Texans and Oklahomans agree on most things political, just not football.
That started a repetitive shouting of "BOOMER" from our side of the crowd, and the "SOONER" reply, from the other side of the crowd.
Then a single somebody yelled out "Go Cowboys!"  LOL

Even a standing ovation for Cruz' father, his hero, who was there in attendance also!

The Strangest Thing of the Day, was not at the Cruz Rally--
the wind was blowing so fiercely out of the west this morning, we actually saw a bird, flapping its wings wildly, and staying perfectly still in the air, against that wind~!  We saw this on the way home, along the Muskogee Turnpike, north of Muskogee~
*** Poignant, since that is the exact way we Conservatives feel these days, having a feckless House of Representatives and Senate in our control... but beating our wings madly against the Liberal headwind.  Getting Nowhere.

And we brought home t-shirts from Congressman Jim Bridenstine's campaign, Cruz bumper stickers, signs, the whole works.
